Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated wood worker, Framer for our Oak Yard team. This role involves working on various projects, specialising in oak framing, wood selection associated tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry , with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble oak timber frames and structures according to project specifications, tables fireplaces beam preparation, using wood mizer, thicknesser
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and join materials
- Install framing components
- Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials around the yard or construction site
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to execute precise framing work
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, and masonry
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment
- Knowledge construction
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
