Full job description

Job Overview Floorcare Engineer:
We’re looking for a dedicated Floorcare Engineer to join our team at Tennant UK. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide exceptional communication, hands-on service and technical support, to our valued customers. You will be the face of Tennant UK in the field, promoting our company’s reputation through high-quality service and support. Working with our customers in the Ilford and surrounding area.

It is a varied role and no two days are the same. Paid as soon as you step outside your front door until you return at the end of your shift. You will mostly be lone working, but there is a team around you to offer help and support. The role comes with a company vehicle, fuel card, specialised tools, overtime rates, an annual bonus, applause awards and 33 days annual leave inc. bank holidays, access to Medicash benefit and company sick pay.

We will provide you will a laptop, mobile phone, uniform and PPE so you are set up to succeed. There is weekend work on a rota and on call basis.

Duties

Conduct maintenance, repairs of equipment on-site also installation and training as required.
Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on customer equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, van stock and customer interactions.
Collaborate with the engineering team to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
Clear communication with both customers and service team.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role is advantageous.
Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
Basic IT skills, Microsoft Office, Outlook and parts manuals.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to think under pressure.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
A valid driver's licence is required for travel to client sites.
