We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident designer with at least five years’ industry experience who is passionate about exceptional design, enjoys working collaboratively, and is confident managing projects from concept through to completion.
The Role
As an Interior Designer, you will take ownership of projects while working closely with our Creative Director and wider design team. You will be responsible for developing creative concepts, producing technical drawing packages, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard.
This is a varied role requiring both creative flair and strong technical ability.
Key Responsibilities
● residential and commercial interior design projects from concept to completion.
● Develop design concepts, mood boards, material palettes and presentation documents.
● Produce detailed CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, bespoke joinery, lighting layouts and technical details.
● Prepare drawing packages suitable for pricing, manufacture and construction.
● Attend client meetings, presentations and design reviews.
● Conduct site surveys and accurately record existing conditions.
● Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure design intent is achieved.
● Liaise confidently with architects, contractors, joiners, suppliers and consultants.
● Specify furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, sanitaryware and decorative products.
● Prepare schedules for finishes, ironmongery, lighting, FF&E and joinery.
● Manage project timelines and coordinate design information with the wider team.
● Resolve design and technical queries throughout construction.
● Assist with installations, styling and project handovers.
● Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress effectively.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
● A minimum of five years’ professional experience in interior design.
● A degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
● Excellent CAD skills with experience producing detailed technical drawing packages.
● Strong understanding of bespoke joinery, cabinetry and construction detailing.
● Experience working on-site alongside contractors and consultants.
● Excellent spatial planning and technical problem-solving abilities.
● Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture and lighting specification.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional work.
● A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
Software
Experience with the following is desirable:
● AutoCAD
● SketchUp
● Microsoft Office
● Canva (desirable)
● Project management software such as Trello (desirable)
