Body & Paint Technician - Night Shift

We’re looking for a skilled Body & Paint Technician to join our team on the night shift 5pm till 1.30am - Monday to Friday.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated Body & Paint Technician to work on our our night shift to carry out all Smart, Body, and Paint repairs efficiently and safely, help deliver Body & Paint budgets and KPIs, and support seamless Aftersales processes to maximise productivity and workshop utilisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication, administrative, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or above in Paint & Body Repair – advantageous
- Recognised motor industry qualification or equivalent to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or higher – advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle paint and repair work to TGB & John Roe standards, working safely with paint, consumables, and equipment while following Health & Safety requirements
- Complete jobs within budgeted times, work towards KPIs, and help achieve monthly financial targets
- Maintain workshop and spray booth standards, take responsibility for daily equipment upkeep, and report any defects or issues
- Communicate with colleagues to ensure work is completed correctly and provide customers with clear, detailed explanations tailored to their needs
- Listen carefully and build rapport with customers to deliver a high level of satisfaction
- Coach and support apprentices and colleagues by providing guidance and hands-on assistance with repairs and paint processes
- Work across teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, follow up sales opportunities with the right specialist, and report technical issues using the correct procedures
