Overview

Join our team as a Post Office Counter Clerk and become the friendly face of our postal services! you'll provide exceptional customer service, handle various clerical tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations at the post office counter. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help deliver a positive experience for every customer while maintaining efficient workflow. This paid position offers an engaging environment where your administrative talents can shine and make a real difference in the community.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with postal transactions, including mailing packages, selling postage, processing transactions, banking, bureau, etc
Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and directing inquiries appropriately
Organize and prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely processing of mail, parcels, and customer requests
Handle cash register operations accurately, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area to promote a welcoming environment
Support administrative duties such as filing, inventory management, and updating customer information with attention to detail

Experience

Previous post office counter experience is preferred but not essential
Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Familiarity with basic administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and using office equipment is preferred
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly attitude in a customer-focused environment
