Job Overview: Morrow Tanker Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Assistant to join our expert team. In this role, you will provide vital practical support across our workshop, helping to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your core responsibilities will include vehicle prepping and stripping, collecting and delivering parts, and assisting skilled technicians and team members throughout the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual looking to grow their career within a stable, highly respected industry.

Responsibilities:

Vehicle Preparation & Stripping: Safely prepare road tankers and HGVs for servicing, repair, or painting, and assist in stripping down mechanical/body components as directed.
Parts Logistics: Collect and deliver parts, tools, and materials from local suppliers or other locations efficiently to keep workshop workflows moving.
Team Assistance: Provide proactive, hands-on assistance to Tanker Technicians and other team members across the business to support daily operations.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized workshop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are correctly stored.
Inventory Support: Help log, organize, and restock incoming parts and workshop consumables.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health and safety protocols, guidelines, and company regulations at all times.

Desired Experience & Requirements:

Driving Licence: A valid, clean driving licence is essential for this role to handle parts collection and delivery.
Hands-on Experience: Previous experience in a manual, workshop, automotive, or heavy vehicle (HGV) environment is highly preferred.
Practical Skill: Familiarity with basic hand tools and a mechanical aptitude for stripping/prepping vehicles.
Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of a busy workshop environment, including lifting and moving parts.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
Ability to work productively both independently and as a supportive team player.
Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
