Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of residential and commercial outdoor spaces, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and landscapes are well-kept and thriving. This role requires a hands-on approach to grounds keeping, utilising various grass cutting machinery and techniques to achieve high standards of maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform regular grounds keeping tasks including grass cutting, hedge and shrub bed maintenance, litter lifting, weed control, strimming and leaf clearance.
Driving a company vehicle to various sites, with or without a trailer
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for landscape maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and minor repairs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Skills

Proven experience in grounds keeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
Proficiency in using power tools such as ride-on and self propelled lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Mechanical knowledge for the maintenance of gardening equipment, while not necessary would be advantageous
Ability to work with hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
A passion for gardening and maintaining outdoor spaces is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while working independently or as part of a team.
