The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales ledger, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and payments are received in line with agreed credit terms. You will work closely with customers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service. The role is 20 hours over 5 days, Monday- Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner using in house software. Full training to be provided.
- Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts.
- Monitor outstanding debt and carry out credit control activities.
- Chase overdue payments by telephone and email in a professional manner.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Respond promptly to customer account queries.
- Set up and maintain customer account records.
- Produce debtor reports and assist with month-end procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve invoicing issues.
- Support the wider finance team with other duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger or Credit Control role.
- Has excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Is confident communicating with customers by telephone and email.
- Can prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.
- Has good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- Has a professional, positive and proactive attitude.
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
