Full job description

Ewals Cargo Care started as a family business over 100 years ago to be an international organisation that is present all over Europe. Today, Ewals Cargo Care creates innovative logistics products for our customers and for the industry. We develop intelligent systems and processes, which we continuously develop to stay ahead of the curve and solve the latest challenges in logistics.

Tasks and responsibilities

Planning, organising and coordinating transport activities.
Informing drivers or subcontractors about transport details (loading/unloading goods etc).
Verifying/checking drivers activity truck position.
Using in house transport management system to monitor and update the progress of each transport.
Monitoring the general performance and utilisation of the trucks.

This role involves interaction with drivers, sub-contractors and colleagues from our offices throughout Europe. You’ll need to be able to multitask and be accurate in verifying, informing and providing operational solutions.

Hours of work consists of a rotating shift pattern:

Monday to Friday 06:00hrs to 15:00hrs

Monday to Friday 07:00hrs to 16:00hrs

Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs

Monday to Friday 10:00hrs to 19:00hrs

We are looking for an organised person with a strong motivation to work in transport with the following skills:

The ideal candidate

Office experience
Organisational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal & external parties
Strong IT skills
Good geographical knowledge
Professional telephone manner with good level of customer service
Knowledge of 1 year similar industry would be an advantage but we willing to train for the right candidate.
