Full job description

Cat C + E HGV Driver and Hiab Operator | Leighton Buzzard| From £19.00 per hour

We are seeking a proactive and reliable team player to drive vehicles ranging from Class 2 up to Class 1, delivering Mast Climbing Work Platforms and other equipment to sites, ensuring they arrive safely on time.

The successful candidate will be self-disciplined and able to use their own initiative. They must have excellent communication skills and be committed to delivering high-quality work. Health and safety are key in our industry so they must have a strong understanding of how to minimise risks.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Ensure the vehicle is loaded so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage
Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make while respecting the customer’s property
Check goods off with site team and obtain signature and print
Provide excellent service to all team members
Operate the crane safely and in accordance with the correct procedures
Provide support in the Yard as required by the Line Management
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Company Dress Code Policy and Health and Safety Policy
Role may require some nights out each month. Food allowances and additional night out payments to be rewarded in such circumstances

Experience:

Applicants must have a full HGV driving license and at least 2 years of HGV driving experience within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will hold an industry recognised ‘lorry mounted crane’ certification but training can be given to the right candidate.

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

Salary:

From £19.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Opportunity for overtime at the weekends. This is paid in line with the company overtime policy
