Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a QHSE Co‑ordinator (Health & Safety Co‑ordinator) to support our shared user sites in Northampton. This is a full‑time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, where you’ll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance and supporting the smooth running of QHSE activities across multiple sites.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £28,000, per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company‑sponsored pension scheme, life assurance, and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the delivery of health, safety and environmental standards across site, ensuring all processes align with legal requirements, company policies and best practice
- Maintain and manage QHSE documentation, including risk assessments, audits, policies and compliance records, ensuring all information remains accurate, up to date and audit‑ready
- Monitor incident, accident and compliance data, supporting investigations, tracking actions and driving follow‑up activities to reduce risk and improve safety performance
- Coordinate audits, inspections and planned preventative maintenance activities, working with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely completion and compliance
- Act as a central point of coordination for safety‑related queries, systems administration and training records, ensuring effective communication and consistency across the operation
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a health & safety, compliance or administrative role within a fast‑paced operational environment
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage data, prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using systems and databases
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) and a proactive, detail‑focused approach to improving safety standards
