We are seeking a talented and dedicated Hot Foil Die Maker to join our growing team and become an integral part of our specialist production facility.

As we expand, we're looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to our reputation for excellence. You will be working at our manufacturing centre based in the beautiful Essex countryside, just outside Colchester
As a Hot Foil Die Maker, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient production of brass and magnesium hot foil dies. This hands-on role involves working with advanced machinery and traditional techniques to create the precision tooling used in the hot foil stamping process.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating Specialised Machinery: Set up and operate various die-making equipment, which may include:
CNC engraving machines
Chemical etching equipment
Grinding and polishing equipment
Precision Finishing: Perform detailed manual finishing, deburring, and hand-tooling to achieve the highest standards of accuracy and sharpness.
Some physical lifting will be involved.
Quality Control: Conduct stringent quality checks at every stage of the production process, ensuring dies meet exact specifications and our high-quality benchmarks.
Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance and calibration of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production team to ensure seamless workflow and project delivery.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues arising during the die-making process to maintain production schedules and quality.
What We're Looking For:
- An exceptional eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to varying project requirements
- Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player
- A passion for delivering high-quality products and continuously improving processes
- Computer literacy; experience with Adobe software advantageous
- A safety-conscious approach and adherence to workshop procedures
