Key responsibilities

Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care

Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice

Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs

Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor

Collaborating with external healthcare professionals

Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others

Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)-
We’re looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.

GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)

NHS performer number (or working towards it)
-
Excellent communication and organisation skills
-
A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
It would be great if you also have-
Experience supporting enhanced services

A strong understanding of local clinical networks

Recruitment Partner:
Boots Opticians are looking for a full-time permanent Optometrist (37.5 hours) in a busy town centre practice with high footfall and a mixed patient demographic. The store has 2 testing rooms with 25-minute testing times and offers enhanced services including cataract referrals and post-op care.
You’d be working with a small, supportive team, including another resident Optometrist and a Dispensing Optician, and there are future opportunities for Pre-Reg supervision and involvement in enhanced services.
The role would be 5 days per week with weekend working required, and the store is easily accessible by car or train with parking nearby.
