Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a passionate part- time chef to join our team twice a week Saturday and Tuesday. You'll be cooking and preparing 12 meal recipes for a meal prep company that will change weekly. You will be working in a team of 3 potentially looking at more staff if increase of demand. If looking for more than part time work there is also restaurant work available to increase hours through this.

Based inside Curlys Kitchen Walkden M283TR

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and health standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise kitchen operations.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current trends and customer preferences.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a cohesive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and culinary trends.
Excellent skills in cooking, food presentation, and menu development.
Sound understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential.

This role is an excellent opportunity for growth as in the future we are expected to expand and franchise out, with 2 business there to work between the hours can either be kept low part time or increased through the second resteraunt- curlys kitchen

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
