The role:

We are looking for a talented and passionate communications and engagement professional to lead strategic communications and engagement activities that support our Children’s Services directorate.

You will lead the planning and delivery of clear, accessible and engaging communications that support service priorities and build confidence with staff, partners and residents. This includes campaigns linked to recruitment, attendance, inclusion and outcomes for children and young people.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide professional advice, manage reputational risk and produce high-quality content across a range of channels.

The ideal candidate will have experience in community and stakeholder engagement, campaign delivery, media relations and the ability to translate complex information into clear messages. A strong understanding of Children’s Services and the education sector is desirable.

They should be confident working across a variety of communication channels and collaborating with relevant partners across Liverpool, including schools, safeguarding, early years, and SEND organisations, to align messaging and maximise reach.
