Job Description

Now Education are currently recruiting confident and resilient Cover Supervisors to work within a well-established secondary school in the South Wirral area. We have opportunities available on both a day-to-day and long-term basis, with the potential for temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within secondary education. The role is particularly suited to:

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking further experience before securing a permanent teaching role
Individuals considering a future career in teaching and looking to gain hands-on school experience before undertaking teacher training

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher and ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set learning activities. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Requirements

Experience leading or managing young people in a professional setting that can transfer into the classroom
GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
A degree is desirable
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage behaviour confidently and professionally
Resilient, adaptable, and able to work independently
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
