About Santa’s Secret Forest
Santa’s Secret Forest is an immersive, magical Christmas experience where families step into a world of snow, elves, enchanted tech, and festive wonder. Every detail is designed to spark imagination and joy and no character is more important to that mission than Santa himself.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced, warm, and charismatic performers to embody Father Christmas bringing cheer, authenticity, and magical believability to every child’s visit. Santa is the centrepiece of our experience, and we’re looking for those who can balance performance with emotional warmth, storytelling, and improvisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Portray Santa Claus in an authentic, joyful, and heart-warming manner
- Interact warmly and confidently with children and adults of all ages and backgrounds
- Pose for photos, deliver personalised messages, and manage crowd energy with ease
- Work closely with elves, photographers, and guest experience staff to ensure seamless show flow
- Commit to performance continuity staying in character at all times during scheduled shifts
- Be patient, gentle, and adaptable with young children, including those with additional needs
- Handle unexpected moments (tears, tricky questions, etc.) with compassion and improvisation
Requirements
- Excellent communication and improvisation skills
- Strong stage presence and ability to engage diverse audiences
- Acting experience preferred (stage or immersive)
- Comfort wearing a Santa suit and facial hair (real beard welcome but not required)
- Kindness, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence
- Availability on key December weekends and the days leading up to Christmas
- Successful applicants will require a DBS check (we can support processing)
Desirable Attributes
- Previous experience in a Santa Claus or immersive role
- Experience working with children or in family settings
- A natural storytelling ability and sense of festive wonder
- Understanding of neurodiversity or SEN-friendly communication styles
