Job Title: Front of House Host

This is a highly customer focused role, dealing with a number of guests over the phone, via email and face to face. As Head Host it would be your responsibility to coordinate and control all accommodation and F&B bookings at the venue as well as looking after daily conferences and Duty Manager shifts. A high level of written and verbal communication skills will be required. You will need to be analytical, confident in dealing with people over the telephone and able to meet the needs of both the guest and the venue.

- Effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries
- To take and input bookings via different channels, entering the correct details into the property management system Caterbooks and our F&B booking channel Collins
- Manage and update all the booking channels, ensuring all details are correct at all times (Booking.com, Design my night etc)
- Effectively communicate with all departments all details of upcoming arrivals/reservations, including but not limited to special request bookings and last minute changes
- Actively gathering information about special requirements, guest preferences, allergies, celebrations, etc
- Confirming bookings through phone calls and e-mails 48 hours before the date of the booking
- Looking after Hotel guest from arrival to departure
- Taking deposits and payments
- Managing and exceeding guest expectations at every opportunity
- Maximising sales opportunities
- Providing guests with concierge services
- Ensuring bedrooms are ready on time and completed to the highest standard (Housekeeping checks)
- Management of Hotel rooms
- Housekeeping rota
- Day to day running of small conferences
- Duty Manager shifts
What we are looking for:
· The ideal candidate will have a good hospitality background however full training will be given
· Personality and lots of it!
· Excellent people skills which allow you to naturally form meaningful relationships
· A good knowledge and understanding of the hotel and the surrounding area
· A passion for delivering the best guest experience
· Ability to work alone and unsupervised
