Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional pharmacy environment. The successful candidate will assist with dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and gaining valuable experience in pharmacy operations. This paid position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy or healthcare.

Duties

Assist qualified pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Prepare and label prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety standards
Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions
Provide excellent patient care by answering basic queries and directing patients to appropriate services
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and stock levels
Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
Participate in training programmes to develop knowledge of pharmacy procedures and medication management

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medicines
Excellent communication skills to support patient care and team collaboration
Ability to work effectively under supervision in a fast-paced environment
Genuine interest in healthcare, patient safety, and continuous learning
Basic IT skills for record keeping and pharmacy management systems
