PURPOSE OF JOB
As the logistics manager, you will lead Nortys’ logistics team members and operations, ensuring efficient stock movement, strong service levels, cost control, and operational compliance across inbound, storage and outbound activities. This role is responsible for managing 3PL relationships, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the wider operations strategy while helping develop future in-house customs and clearance capability.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics & Warehousing
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations across UK and international supply chain activities.
- Oversee inbound container planning, warehouse throughput and outbound distributor dispatch performance.
- Monitor warehouse capacity, storage utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Ensure stock movements are accurate, timely and aligned with business priorities.
Bonded Warehouse Operations
- Manage bonded warehouse processes and stock movements across UK and EU warehousing operations.
- Coordinate bonded stock transfers between EU and UK facilities while ensuring customs and duty compliance.
- Work closely with warehouse providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to maintain accurate bonded inventory control.
- Support duty management, customs suspension processes and efficient stock flow between bonded locations.
- Develop internal knowledge and procedures relating to bonded warehousing and customs-controlled stock movements.
3PL & Supplier Management
- Act as the primary operational contact for third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor service levels, KPIs and contractual performance.
- Challenge costs, identify efficiencies and support commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate issue resolution relating to delays, damages, shortages or service failures.
Customs & International Trade
- Support customs, import/export and freight compliance processes across UK and international shipments.
- Work alongside freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure accurate and compliant clearance activity.
- Maintain understanding of customs documentation, commodity codes, duties, origin requirements and shipping regulations.
- Support the long-term development of an internal customs clearance capability within Norty.
Operational Planning
- Support container scheduling and inbound delivery prioritisation.
- Work closely with Demand Planning and Stock teams to support availability and replenishment plans.
- Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions proactively.
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce and analyse logistics KPIs including:
- OTIF performance
- Picking accuracy
- Dispatch performance
- Storage utilisation
- Freight and handling costs
- Customs and bonded warehouse performance metrics
- Use data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with customs, transport and warehouse procedures.
- Support bonded warehouse and international shipping requirements where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement across logistics processes and operational workflows.
- Maintain clear SOPs and operational documentation.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience within logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers and operational performance.
- Strong understanding of freight, shipping, bonded warehousing and customs processes.
- Experience supporting international stock movements and customs-controlled inventory desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident working with operational data and KPI reporting.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience within apparel, retail or distribution environments desirable.

Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
