Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Barstaff/Team Leader to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional service to our guests while overseeing bar operations and ensuring smooth team coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a lively and professional setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with company standards and health & safety regulations
Lead and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service
Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining inventory records
Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol licensing laws
Handle customer queries, complaints, and special requests professionally
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Assist in training new team members on service procedures and company policies
Monitor service times to ensure prompt delivery of drinks and minimise wait times
Support event organisation by preparing customised drinks or organising special promotions as required

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable, particularly within a bar or restaurant environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Proven leadership ability to oversee team performance and foster a positive work environment
Competence in basic maths for handling cash transactions accurately
Good communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
A friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
