About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Business Partner to support organisational change initiatives across the Council. This is a strategic HR role focused on organisational redesign, workforce transformation, and change management, working closely with managers, senior leaders, and trade unions to improve organisational and people performance.
As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance on change programmes, restructures and TUPE matters, ensuring that organisational change is delivered effectively, compliantly, and in line with the Council’s priorities and values.
About you:
- Significant HR experience with a strong understanding of organisational change, workforce transformation, and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication, influencing, coaching, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- A collaborative and innovative approach to delivering service improvements and positive organisational outcomes.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) with a commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality HR practice.
- Passion for supporting people through change, promoting equality and inclusion, and delivering excellent customer service.
What you will do:
- Support organisational change, transformation, restructuring, and workforce redesign projects across Council services, providing expert HR advice on change management, TUPE, redundancies, organisational design, and workforce planning
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to improve organisational effectiveness, people performance, and service delivery.
- Manage the HR aspects of change programmes, identifying risks and ensuring projects are delivered successfully and compliantly.
- Coach and develop managers in people management practices, including performance, attendance, and employee development.
- Build effective relationships with trade unions, stakeholders, and colleagues to deliver a collaborative and customer-focused HR service.
- Support and advise managers on complex employee relations cases
Pay: £44,075.00-£46,142.00 per year
