Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Llanelli

Salary: Competitive, Full-time 37.5 hours, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Accounts Payable function. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to manage a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and ensure the timely and accurate processing of supplier payments.

An exciting opportunity to join the project team in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics, driving efficiency and management information.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and supporting the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable team.

· Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.

· Manage supplier payments and resolve payment queries efficiently.

· Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.

· Prepare accounts payable reports, KPIs, and month-end reconciliations.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

· Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

· Support audits and provide documentation as required.

About You

You will be an organised and proactive finance professional with excellent leadership and communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Essential Requirements

· Previous experience managing an Accounts Payable team.

· Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, and or Pegasus Opera.

· Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
