Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Mechanic will play a vital part in supporting our operations through effective maintenance and repair work, ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and assembly instructions
Conduct routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan
Perform welding repairs as needed, adhering to safety protocols
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment efficiently and safely
Assist with assembly of new machinery or components as required
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely to move parts or equipment during maintenance procedures
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status or issues

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery types
Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of equipment repair techniques including troubleshooting electrical or mechanical faults
Previous experience providing customer service or working directly with clients is advantageous
