Deputy Children's Worker - Full Time - 2:4 shift pattern with Sleep-ins

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Care Manager to help lead our dedicated team in providing therapeutic care to children and young people in our residential homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to best practice, and a desire to help young people thrive.
About The Role
Required Criteria
-
1 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in residential children's care
-
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Proven team leadership, organisation, and delegation skills
-
Excellent understanding of child development, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding
-
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins

Knowledge of Social Care Wales (SCW) and CIW frameworks in Children's Residential Care
Desired Criteria
-
Experience managing staff performance and leading team development

Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management of Children's Residential Care

Prior experience of Taking responsibility for overseeing aspects of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy.

Experience of supporting Ofsted Inspections

Level 4 Wales - Leadership and Management of Residential Children's Care
