We are seeking motivated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leaders to join our dedicated team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments, ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal across various sites. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and turf care to uphold high standards of appearance and health.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators, power tools, irrigation systems, and other horticultural machinery safely and efficiently.
- Lead and supervise team members during daily tasks, ensuring work is completed to specifications and within safety guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards and address them promptly.
- Maintain records of work performed, equipment used, and materials required for ongoing site management.
- Ensure all tools and machinery are maintained in good working order through regular inspections and basic repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture.
- Previous supervisory experience
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and other horticultural machinery.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead a team or work independently as required.
- Full clean driving licence
- Towing experience desireable
- A proactive attitude towards health & safety protocols with a commitment to maintaining safe working environments.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
Your usual hours of work during the season (March to October) will be Monday to Friday 6.30am till 4.00pm (8.5 hours per day start and finish time may be adjusted), and Monday to Friday 8.00am till 4.00pm (7 hours) out of season.

Pay: Up to £31,200.00 per year
