Full job description

The Role

Responsible for the implementation of the kitchen cleaning rota, washing and storage of all kitchen equipment, and sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors. To undertake specific tasks and responsibilities given by the Heads and Sous Chefs and encourage the culture to reflect the Olive Tree Brasserie values.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining high cleaning standards of all cleaning equipment such as the dishwashing machine, mops, buckets, brushes, and all other cleaning equipment. Meeting with the assigned station-head, usually the Head chef or Sous Chef, to review the requirements of the day’s Cleaning and timeframes.
Utilising HACCP procedures for sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety.
Know and operate all equipment according to proper procedures.
Working with an assigned station team members or all others in a cooperative, productive and effective manner.
Cleaning workstations after meal preparation. Following HACCP cleaning procedures for work surfaces, all related equipment, and utensils. Assembling workstation for the next meal preparation shift. This includes cleaning and preparing food storage areas and refrigerators.
Attending meetings, training activities, courses, and all other work-related activities as required.
Performing related duties as required.
