We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Gatehouse Vets on a part-time basis.
Join a team that values compassion, professionalism and dedication to pet health. We’re a key part of the local community, offering support and care to people and their animals. Our practice consists of eight vet surgeons, seven nurses, three patient care assistants and seven receptionists.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
This is a part-time role working 28.5 hours per week over 3 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional and compassionate experience for every client and patient
- Manage appointments, telephone enquiries and client communications efficiently
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately
- Support colleagues across the practice to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of reception
- Remain calm, organised and professional in a busy and emotionally demanding environment
