Electrical Engineer
Job Description:
An excellent opportunity to work for an ever-expanding company based in in Swansea . The job involves a variety of pump and treatment plant installations, control panels and pump maintenance activities for waste water treatment sites and domestic clients.
This full-time position is diverse, working from electrical installation through to control panel modifications, fault-finding, troubleshooting, pump & blower installs, testing and commissioning. Working either as part of a team or independently including some basic mechanical fitting.

Daily responsibilities:
- To perform routine maintenance of pumping and sewage treatment plant in the municipal, industrial and commercial sector.
- To attend breakdowns, reported faults, alarms, reactive maintenance and responsive repairs, including control panel fault finding and on-site troubleshooting
- Have excellent communication skills with our clients and other members of staff.
- Be able to resolve fault issues on site or advise appropriate action required for timely repairs and resolution.
- Complete reports and recommendations in a timely manner
- Produce quotes for remedial works as required
- Flexible attitude and motivated approach to work.
- Treatment plant and pumping station installs throughout South Wales, the Midlands and South West England.
- Carrying out pump removal, inspection & installation works in a safe and professional manner.
- Inspection and testing of installations to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations.
- Installation of pumps and associated valves, pipes and wiring for pumping stations.
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing, installations and fault finding on pumps, control panels and related equipment.
- Compliance with the Health and Safety regulations and client required Health and Safety standards.
- Reporting and detailing of spare/replacement part requirements, working times and irregular operational conditions.
Requirements for the role are:
- Apprentice served and ideally qualified City & Guilds or HNC/D Electrical Engineering
- Electrical Control Panel experience including fault finding and repair is essential
- Water Industry/pump and sewage treatment plant experience advantageous, although training will be provided.
- The ability to read electrical schematic drawings is essential
- Ideally Qualified to 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Competency in using Microsoft Office products would be advantageous
- Other vocational training such as Confined Space (Medium Risk), SSSTS would be an advantage, however relevant training will be provided to the suitable candidate
- Full UK driving license.
