CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our dynamic highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components with precision and efficiency. The candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce components according to specifications and drawings.
- Programming using Heidenhain/Mazatrol control systems
- Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD designs and implement necessary modifications.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years+ previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating milling CNC machines
- Ideally experienced with using Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol control systems
- Background producing CNC machined components to a high standards
- Experience of milling ferrous and non ferrous materials to tight tolerances
- Good time keeping
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings is essential
- Carrying out first off inspection checks
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively.
