Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Specialty Doctor to join our NHS Trust on an ASAP basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care within their specialty, support multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the effective delivery of services across the department.

Candidates must have previous NHS experience, appropriate GMC registration, and a valid right to work in the UK.

Essential Requirements

Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
Minimum 6 months NHS experience within the relevant specialty
Valid Right to Work in the UK
Up-to-date Mandatory Training
Current Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent communication and team-working skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and manage patients within the specialty department
Conduct ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as required
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Ensure compliance with NHS policies, governance and clinical standards
Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate
Maintain professional development and appraisal requirements
