About Us
Monachyle Mhor is a fiercely independent, family-run place on the edge of Loch Voil in the Scottish Highlands. We’ve got 23 rooms on a working farm, a restaurant led by the seasons, and a bar full of great wines, wild cocktails and good stories. It’s a place for people who love proper hospitality that feels natural, thoughtful and never scripted.
The Role
Whether you're here for a season or longer, you’ll be part of our front-of-house food and drink team, helping bring the Monachyle experience to life from breakfast right through to the last call at the bar.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hosting, being around people, and taking pride in great service. You might be welcoming guests, running food, pouring wine, mixing drinks or talking someone through the menu.
We’re small, so everyone mucks in. It keeps things interesting and it means no two days are quite the same. If it peaks your interest, there's opportunities to deliver cocktail masterclasses, head out foraging with the kitchen team, and even take the lead on our farm tours & guided walks in the glen, not to mention our infamous Wine Safaris and Barn Parties.
Most importantly, you’ll help create the kind of atmosphere we’re known for; relaxed, warm, a little bit playful, but always done properly.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Naturally enjoys looking after people
- Has a good eye for detail without being rigid about it
- Likes working as part of a small, close-knit team
- Is curious about food, drink and hospitality
- Brings personality, energy and common sense to the job
- Loves the outdoors and all it has to offer (hiking, camping, wild swimming, foraging)
Experience is great, but attitude matters more.
