The role

The Finance Intern will support the finance and digital support teams with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on experience across invoicing, expense processing and data analysis, providing excellent exposure to the commercial and operational workings of Emperor.

What you’ll be doing in this role

Review and finalise client invoices for a designated office, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients
Monitor invoicing queries and liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in an organised manner
Process and review employee expenses, resolving queries from individuals across the business
Gain exposure to and experience across the finance function to be able to support the wider team where required
Raise purchase orders for approval by management

Digital & Administrative Support

Provide administrative support to the digital function, including but not limited to the monthly billing of support & hosting clients as contracts fall due.
Process monthly credit card claims for the digital team in line with company policy, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and sufficient supporting documentation is held on file

Other

Assist with basic financial and operational data analysis
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
Assist on information requests during the group annual audit

Skills & Experience

Prior experience working in a finance team preferable, but not essential
Currently studying towards (or recently completed) a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Confident with Excel and basic data analysis
Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Proactive and willing to get stuck into new tasks
Engaging and able to build effective working relationships
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to take initiative and work independently when needed
Professional, reliable, and discreet when handling confidential information
