We have an exciting opportunity for a Rotational Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at The London Clinic, based in Central London. This role offers a Band 5 salary equivalent and is ideal for a motivated technician looking to broaden their experience across multiple pharmacy services.
About the Pharmacy Department:
The London Clinic’s Pharmacy Department is a collaborative and supportive team of around 45 staff, delivering high-quality services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Our department operates across nine core service areas:

On-Call Services
- Dispensary
- Distribution and Top-Up Services
- Procurement
- Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services
- Aseptic/Technical Services
- Clinical Governance
- Education and Training
We also provide extensive oncology services, supported by a purpose-built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite, alongside an automated medication dispensing system that enhances medicines management across multiple wards.
Role Overview:
As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and accurate pharmacy service. This post offers structured rotations through Dispensary, Distribution, and Procurement, with the opportunity to progress into Ward-Based Services.
You will ensure all services are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with current legislation, policies, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a safe, efficient, and accurate dispensing service, including controlled drugs
- Support and coordinate workflow within the dispensary, ensuring SOP compliance
- Manage day-to-day ordering of medicines and consumables
- Raise orders for TPN, consumables, and stock as required
- Support ward-based medicines management alongside pharmacists and senior technicians
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery
Essential Skills and Experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent qualification)
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
