What you’ll do
Being an Lead Techinal Product Owner is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It’s your chance to stir up real success - which means you’ll:
- Ownership: Take full ownership of one or more of Costa’s key Enterprise platforms (typically SaaS / PaaS / COTS products such as D365, Anaplan, Profisee, SPAR and Data Warehouse) and adjacent systems, driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including GTDD, Market Teams, Supply Chain, Finance and People, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Backlog Management: Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog (BAU and Change), ensuring that it is aligned with the overall product strategy and objectives.
- Agile Practices: Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of technology solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Utilizes technical knowledge to guide development teams, provide clear specifications, and ensure the feasibility and scalability of solutions.
- Vendor Management: Manage day to day relationships with any relevant external vendors and partners, ensuring that their deliverables meet Costa Coffee's standards and requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of product features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing innovative solutions to enhance Costa Coffee's enterprise technology landscape.
Who you are
It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in:
- Agile methodologies: scrum, Kanban, and the principles behind the manifesto
- Able to facilitate team events and unite a delivery team towards a vision and defined goals
- Exceptional requirements gathering and definition skills
- Ability to author and maintain an emergent backlog with the right level of detail in collaboration with various stakeholders and a delivery scrum team
- Ability to influence other teams and stakeholders and proactively communicate and maintain alignment and clarity with other partners and internal customers
- Able to learn new systems and platforms, able to test for acceptance, and able to troubleshoot problems and come up with solutions and alternate approaches
- Experience as a product owner, or technical analyst – experience defining requirements, documenting systems, integration flows, and data
- Experience working on relevant enterprise technology platforms relevant to the role
- Experience working with web services / systems integrations
- Excellent verbal and written communication, experience maintaining lightweight living technical documentation
