Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with selecting frames and lenses to match their style and needs and so experience is essential in working in previous opticians
- Prepare and adjust eyewear using laboratory equipment, ensuring precise fit and quality standards
- Support licensed opticians by conducting preliminary eye measurements and collecting patient information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and retail area to promote a professional environment
- Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained for efficient service
- Educate patients on lens options, frame features, and proper eyewear care to enhance their experience
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records
- To keep the practice clean and tidy at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dealing with NHS spectacles vouchers and sight test applications on NHS portals
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with patients and team members
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and maintain high standards of precision
- Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn about optical products and patient care processes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks with dexterity
- A proactive approach to teamwork, organization, and delivering outstanding customer service when meeting and greeting patients to the practice .An important face of the company as a first impression
- Must be smart and professionally presented at all times
