Site Fitter – Lift Interiors & Architectural Metalwork
Location: Based in Thurrock, Essex with most work primarily in and around London, but can be throughout the UK.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent or self employed
Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per year (depending on experience) + Overtime + Company Van + Expenses
About Us
We are a well-established fabrication company specialising in the manufacture and installation of bespoke lift interiors, stainless steel architraves, entrance surrounds, guarding and other architectural metalwork for the lift industry.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Site Fitter to join our installation team.
You'll be working on a variety of commercial projects across the UK, installing high-quality fabricated products to an exceptional standard.
The Role
As part of our installation team, you will be responsible for:
- Installing lift car interiors
- Fitting stainless steel architraves and entrance surrounds
- Installing bespoke fabricated metalwork
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Working safely and professionally on live construction sites
- Liaising with site managers and our project team
- Ensuring installations are completed to the highest quality standards
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from applicants with experience in:
- Lift installation or lift modernisation
- Architectural metalwork
- Shopfitting
- Commercial fit-out
- Joinery installation
- Glazing or similar finishing trades
Essential
- Previous experience in site installation or fitting
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card (or willing to obtain)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable
- Lift industry experience
- IPAF
- PASMA
- SSSTS
- First Aid at Work

Working Away
This role involves travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements. All travel expenses and accommodation are provided.
