Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Brick Slip Pointer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role involves the precise application of mortar to brick slips, ensuring high-quality finishes and structural integrity. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

Apply mortar to brick slips with precision and care, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing brickwork, including pointing and re-pointing tasks.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for various masonry projects.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards.

Experience

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry is essential.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, roofing, and welding is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of construction methods and materials related to brickwork.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is an advantage.
