UCLH is the largest cellular therapy service in the United Kingdom. It is at the forefront of delivering innovative and life-changing treatments for patients diagnosed with haematological, oncological, and autoimmune conditions in the standard of care and clinical trial settings. As a Clinical Fellow, you will join a dynamic team at the forefront of developing and delivering novel therapies, with opportunities to engage in pioneering clinical research, contribute to service development, and gain hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving field. Our department is deeply committed to education, innovation, and delivering the highest standards of patient care.
The post-holder will work as a Clinical Fellow based at UCLH and the UCL Institute of Infection, Immunity and Transplantation, alongside Professor Emma Morris and the Cellular Therapy team. The role will include inpatient and outpatient clinical work in cellular therapy, screening and treating patients enrolled in clinical trials, attending relevant multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, participating in departmental governance and training sessions, and contributing to the development of the solid tumour and autoimmune diseases cellular therapy service. There will also be opportunities to perform audits and real-world analysis.
The post-holder is required to hold full GMC registration and MRCP and should either hold a National Training Number (NTN) in, or have completed, medical or clinical oncology, or another relevant medical specialty (eg Rheumatology or Nephrology) training; or have some relevant training in these specialties. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in the delivery of standard-of-care cellular therapies, improve recruitment to solid and autoimmune cellular therapy trials, as well as gain experience with the regulations governing the safe delivery of cellular therapies (including HTA and JACIE standards) to help further develop the solid tumour cell therapy service. This post is suited to candidates who are motivated, resourceful, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Prior experience in cellular therapy delivery is not essential.
