Full job description

General Job Description:

To maintain a high level of control of all stock related items stored in the warehouse and ensure site operatives receive materials required for sites

Main Responsibilities:

Take ownership of stock control and inventory levels

Identify shortages and liaise with management to re-order

Support site teams with store/warehouse related requests

Acceptance of deliveries from suppliers/couriers and check against dispatch notes

Managing and maintaining the stores/warehouse area to ensure it is kept to a tidy, clean and workable condition, in an efficient manner

Keeping all materials and stored tools clean and in workable condition

Assist the Operations department in general duties such as calibration of plant and machinery and keep records up to date

Hiring equipment from hire company

Other duties:

Exercise the fire alarm regularly to comply with building regulations

Facilities management of the office areas

PAT testing portable electrical equipment

Handy man duties as required for office

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Previous trade experience in a stores, warehouse or similar role preferred

Good Organisational skills

Ability to learn on the job and understand the different materials

Good communication skills

Some basic computer experience required for stock control/record keeping

Reliable, proactive and approachable

Starting salary is negotiable

Pay: From £15,000.00 per year
