Job role for time baker. So they must have experience with baking in a bakery, must know how to use the oven, ideally pizza ovens, and how to bake bread, pies, pasties, etc., etc. Kitchen work.Full-Time Baker / Bakery Kitchen Assistant – Jam & Bread

Jam & Bread is looking for an experienced full-time Baker / Bakery Kitchen Assistant to join our team.

IMPORTANT: Previous professional bakery or commercial kitchen experience is essential. You must be confident working with professional ovens and bakery equipment. Experience using deck ovens is highly desirable. Please do not apply if you have no professional baking or commercial kitchen experience.

The role includes:

Baking and finishing bread, croissants, pastries, pies, pasties, sausage rolls and other bakery products
Operating professional ovens safely and confidently
Understanding baking temperatures, timings and product quality
Preparing products for baking, defrosting and display
Sandwich, salad and general kitchen preparation
Following recipes, food-safety procedures and kitchen SOPs
Monitoring product quality and reducing wastage
Keeping the kitchen, ovens, equipment and preparation areas clean and organised
Working efficiently during busy periods

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, organised and comfortable working independently in a professional bakery/kitchen environment.
