Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of residential and commercial buildings. Duties
- Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials such as tiles, slates, torch on felt systems and lead
- Repair or replace damaged roofing components to ensure waterproofing and durability
- Inspect roofs for damage or potential issues and recommend necessary repairs
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Assist with other construction-related tasks including carpentry, masonry, or painting as required
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Fabricate custom components or modifications as needed for specific roofing applications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing.
- Knowledge of various roofing materials and installation techniques
- Experience with fabrication, lead welding.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards within the construction industry
- Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Relevant certifications or licences related to roofing or construction are preferred but not mandatory
