Role
We are looking for a skilled French Polisher to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the high-quality finish and presentation of our hotel interiors, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-house spaces are always kept to exceptional standards.
Key expectations of this role are
- Carry out French polishing, painting, and decorating works across guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-house areas
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Maintain and repair furniture, woodwork, wall coverings, and paintwork
- Support a structured planned preventative maintenance programme
- Manage and maintain stock levels of materials such as paints, lacquers, and waxes
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, efficiently and professionally
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, including COSHH regulations
- Respond to maintenance requests and support emergency call-outs where required
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless operations
Profile
- Proven experience in French polishing, decorating, or a similar field
- Strong eye for detail in delivering high-quality craftsmanship
- Good knowledge of materials, tools, and polishing techniques
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
