Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and energetic Festival Hair Braider and Face Painter to join our vibrant team during community events and festivals. The ideal candidate will possess a flair for artistic expression, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a lively, fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents while engaging with diverse audiences and contributing to memorable festival experiences.

Responsibilities

Create intricate hair braiding styles suitable for festival attendees of all ages
Design and apply colourful face paint designs, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Provide personalised styling and face painting services, catering to individual preferences
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering advice and upselling additional services where appropriate
Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist with store management duties as needed, including stock replenishment and equipment maintenance
Support mentoring of junior team members or interns when required
Demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and foster positive interactions

Experience

Previous experience in hair braiding, face painting, or related artistic roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific techniques
Background in store management or retail environments is advantageous
Skills in barbering, eyelash extensions, or makeup application are a plus
Proven customer service experience with strong communication skills
Experience in upselling products or services to maximise sales opportunities
Ability to mentor or guide less experienced team members is desirable
