Creative Strategist (Performance Creative)

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 base (dependent on experience) + Performance Bonus

Role: Full ownership of our performance creative process — from concept and script through to shoot and delivery — to ensure we exceed our Meta new customer acquisition targets.

Core Job Responsibilities

Concept and script direct response video ads based on data from our Meta ad account, our customer research and our winning creative library. This is the heart of the role.
Write long-form VSL and influencer scripts using our proven structures — hook banks, problem beats, discovery story, scepticism handling, product reveal, before/after, social proof and values-led CTA. You'll build on a library of scripts that already work and find the next angle that beats them.
Run influencer and talent shoots end to end. We work with household-name talent and a growing roster of creators. You'll write their scripts in their voice, brief them clearly, and make sure what comes back is something we can actually scale.
Plan and direct high-production studio shoots — shot lists, storyboards, set and wardrobe direction, working with the production team on the day, then briefing the edit.
Direct voiceover and delivery style across formats: creator-read, professional VO, narrated documentary style, testimonial, "friend telling a friend." Knowing which voice suits which angle is a big part of what makes our ads work.
Own the full spread of formats we run: self-filmed UGC, talent-led VSLs, studio-shot hero ads, podcast and interview style, street interviews, unboxings, founder-led content, static and image-led concepts where they earn their place.
Iterate winning creative at scale — dozens of hook, body and avatar variations off every winner.
Understand our customer deeply. Women in perimenopause and menopause, in their own language, with their actual symptoms and frustrations. Generic "glow from within" supplement marketing is exactly what we don't do.
Monitor competitor creative and platform best practice to keep a live pipeline of new angles.
Work closely with our existing Creative Strategist and Growth team — this is a collaborative creative function, not a solo one.

This role does not require media buying skills. It's strictly performance creative. That said, you must be very comfortable reading data inside Meta Ads Manager and drawing creative conclusions from it.

Additional Functions

Act as a creative thought leader within the Growth team, providing strategic insight and recommendations to stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to expand Elavate's reach through new platforms, content formats and audience segments — including our US expansion.
Build and maintain a library of high-performing creative assets and proven structures to streamline production.
Opportunity to build and lead a creative team as the company scales.

Success Metrics

Achieve set CPA and volume targets (performance bonuses tied to over-performance).
Efficient delivery of creative assets at scale that meet or exceed our advertising goals.

Core Skills

Strong direct response copywriting. This is the single most important skill for this role.
Marketing first principles: you understand what actually motivates purchase behaviour.
A creative eye for visual hooks, formats and editing styles that stop the scroll and bring a brief to life.
Data-driven: you pore over reports, analytics and dashboards to guide creative decisions.
Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate hook and concept development.
Project management and clear communication with editors, creators, talent agents and production teams.

Qualifications

1+ years writing direct response creative, ideally for a health, supplement or wellness D2C brand.
Experience managing the full creative production process: concept development, copywriting, working with creators, briefing editors, revising and optimising.
Experience with brands spending meaningfully on paid social, with a track record of hitting acquisition targets in a competitive market.
Strong understanding of paid media platforms, Meta specifically.
Analytical mindset with a track record of using performance data to inform creative decisions.
A passion for health, wellness or skincare is a plus.

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 base (dependent on experience) + performance bonus (up to 50%)
