Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Locum Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide specialised psychological services within a multidisciplinary team on our adult inpatient Eating Disorder Unit. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based interventions, and support patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting individuals across a range of needs, with primary diagnosis of an Eating Disorder. The position is paid and suitable for professionals seeking flexible or temporary engagement.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for individuals, all 18 years of age and above.
- Develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions with weekly 1:1 therapy and weekly group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans and optimise patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organisational policies.
- Participate in supervision sessions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist registered with the appropriate professional body.
- Proven experience working with individuals with Eating Disorders using evidence-based approaches including CBT-E and MANTRA
- Demonstrable expertise in patient care and delivering psychological therapies.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging effectively with patients.
