Associate Clinical Psychologist (HCPC Registered) – Flexible Medico-Legal Work

Medispec Ltd is expanding its panel of independent Clinical Psychologists and is inviting applications from HCPC-registered professionals interested in undertaking psychological assessments within the medico-legal sector.

This opportunity is ideal for clinicians seeking additional work alongside their existing practice, with the freedom to accept cases based on their own availability.

Key Features

Self-employed contractor role
£100 fee per completed assessment
Primarily remote appointments
Flexible workload with no minimum commitment
Administrative and secretarial support provided at no cost
Training available for suitable candidates
Opportunities available across the UK

Main Duties

Conduct psychological assessments for medico-legal purposes
Review relevant documentation and background information
Assess clients presenting with trauma-related and other psychological symptoms
Prepare professional findings in accordance with company procedures
Attend occasional face-to-face clinics when required

Essential Criteria

Current HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
Valid professional indemnity insurance
Current ICO registration
Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last three years
Willingness to undertake occasional in-person assessments within the local area
Understanding of PTSD and common mental health presentations

Preferred Experience

Previous involvement in medico-legal assessments or report writing
Experience working with personal injury clients
Familiarity with anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma presentations
