We are looking for a reliable and motivated Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering excellent long-term career prospects for the right candidate.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations and Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products are safely stored, packed, and dispatched while helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised warehouse. In addition to warehouse duties, you will also provide delivery driving support during busy periods, helping to ensure customer orders are delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely wrap finished products ready for dispatch.
· Load and unload vehicles, ranging from transit vans to articulated lorries.
· Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
· Transfer finished products from the production area to the warehouse.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
· Ensure signed delivery notes are returned promptly to the Operations team.
· Prepare pallets, cartons, and other packing materials for dispatch.
· Carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles during peak periods, holiday cover, or when business needs require.
· Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and on schedule, providing excellent customer service.
· Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
· Support the warehouse and production teams with general duties as required.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work. You’ll ideally have:
· A valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licence.
· A full UK driving licence with a good driving record (travel between our two nearby sites and customer deliveries is required).
· Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential).
· Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
· A positive, team-focused attitude.
· A proactive approach with a willingness to support colleagues when needed.
