Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Online Order Assembler to join our warehouse team. This role involves preparing and dispatching customer orders efficiently and accurately within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive their products promptly and in excellent condition. Prior warehouse experience, including materials handling and stock management, is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving procedures, and mechanical operations.
Duties
- Picking and packing customer orders with precision to meet quality standards
- Handling materials safely using appropriate techniques and equipment, including forklifts if qualified
- Loading and unloading goods from lorries, ensuring correct placement and storage
- Managing stock levels through accurate stocktaking and replenishment activities
- Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and order status
- Conducting quality control checks to verify order accuracy and product integrity
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times
- Utilising mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues when necessary
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in picking & packing, stocking, or shipping & receiving roles
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is a plus; relevant certification is desirable
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload tasks
- Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment operation and performing basic maintenance or troubleshooting tasks
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control purposes
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks throughout shifts

Pay: £24,420.00-£44,474.67 per year
