The post holder is responsible for undertaking a wide range of manufacturing processes operating to high standards of quality whilst promoting and supporting continuous improvement within the Sheet Metal Fabrication Department
1. Set and Operate Amada CNC Press Brakes
- To study engineering drawings and specification sheets to understand technical requirements
- To fully Program, set and operate Amada CNC Press Brakes.
- Ensuring correct material alignment of metal inside the brake press.
- To maintain programs within the machines eliminating programming errors.
- To be able to forward plan and load plan for night machine production.
2. Press Brake Targets
- To complete daily output sheets.
3. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement
- To maintain a high standard and quality of work.
- To clean and maintain work area.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications and experience:
Required:
- GCSE English and Maths
- Able to read, understand and fully interpret engineering drawings
- Manual handling - lift products up to a maximum 25kg unaided
- Good Communication
- Experience in setting and operating Amada HFB/ APX press brakes
- Ability to understand CNC Programmes.
Desirable:
- Recognised served engineering apprenticeship, City and Guilds or equivalentWhat You will Receive
